I just had to make a seperate entry for this, but on Feburary 24th, I have
bought my first ever concert tickets, and it's none other tha a HATSUNE
MIKU CONCERT WOOOOOOO!!1!
As you might be able to tell, I'm so hyped to be at the PSD Bank Dome on
November 20th :33 I have never ever thought I'd get the opportiunity to be
at a Hatsune Miku concert with my friends, this is sooo coool!
Note, this document is still a WIP, so make sure to check on it every now
and then!
And also, this might or might not be the first ever concert I attend. I'm
currently considering whether to go to a femtanyl event in Cologne with my
friend who is a big fan of her. That would be in June or July, not sure
what exactly it was, so quite a few months before MIKU EXPO.
So why exactly did you create a seperate entry just for this?
You see, I'm planning to share photos and videos of my experience and also
anything along the way, like getting merch like the glowsticks.
How did we get here?
I don't know, it just happened one day, my friend told our group chat
about a MIKU EXPO and then we came up with thr brilliant idea of trying to
go there. I didn't know that concert tickets can be this expensive, let
alone merch!
But in the end, after some discussion with my father, I managed to
get him to buy me the tickets, for 92 EUR. The others also managed to
convince their parents.
I will cherish the memories we will have there for all eternities :3
So what is the current state?
We are currently awaiting for the merch pre-order store to open up. I'm
kinda worried about the prices, cuz I saw that MIKU EXPO 2024 had 40 EUR
glowsticks!
Ok so they are 53 EUR T.T we are so cooked, let's hope my dad will be so
full of joy from my performance at 42 that he'll give me enough money to
get merch.
Nothing is affordable in today's economy
Another thing is, the Common Core Kick-off dates. Since I am assuming I'll
make it there, it's on 16.11.26... and the MIKU EXPO is on 20.11.26..
That's a problem right? Well maybe not because I can also come on the next
Common Core Kick-Off in Feburary 2027, but that's a looong time
difference. I don't even know 100% if it's on Feburary, it could be later.
I don't know how much I would miss out on. On the other hand, I could
technically return to Wolfsburg on the 16th and leave again just for MIKU
EXPO, but that sounds like a lot of stress. What will I do? I'll have to decide.
The LED screen
It seems like I won't be able to experience MIKU EXPO with the hologram
tech ever because in 2024 Crypton decided that the LED screens are the
future of the concerts. It's kinda sad, but honestly, at least from what
I've seen from North America's shows, they have new LED screens that are
much wider than the 2024 one, wide enough to fit all of the Vocaloids at
once, which is very exciting. I also know that the LED screen has quality
and legibility benefits. I'm still so excited ever since we've got the
tickets.
If you're interested to learn more,
PixiePi made a 44 minute video
about the disappearence of holograms at Miku Concerts. It convinced me to
think no less of the LED screens. Below you can see how the wide LED
screen can with some creativity actually create the illusion of Miku
actually standing there.
Actually filling in the view to blend it in with the stage and not
just a black background
The TVs on the screen line up with the real ones on stage, and it
looks like the video is actually another screen behind her
